An intersting exhibition in Sondervig, Denmark, whose theme in this year is the History of Greenland. It was only by chance that we were traveling in the Danish North Sea coast and made a stop here, it was definitely a worthwhile visit. a 200 m long wall of sand and beautiful artworks os sand scluptures standing up to the about 7 m high. About 33 global artists created these masterpieces only with sand and water.The scluptures wall unfolding Greenlands story in stunning details. Only the best sand sculptors from all over the world are engaged by the Worldwide Sculpture Organization. first the Sedna the goddesof the sea, it is a mistical figureof the inuit people who created marine animals. Interesting facts in 2003 , one of the minor planets of the solar system was named in honour of thes goddess, Sedna.
A magical world full of fantasy, history and great craftsmanship. The sand sculpture festival in Søndervig is one of the largest and most important of its kind in the world. Picnic and drinks can be brought along, tables and benches are available on the site. Entrance fee about 10 euros.
