Después hemos hecho onboarding en otros espacios, sobre todo presenciales. Casi siempre quienes se interesan son personas mayores de 25 años. Sin embargo desde hace tres años, llevo a cabo el proyecto "Hive va a la Escuela", donde les enseño sobre Hive a estudiantes de bachillerato (16,17 y 18 años). Más de 3000 adolescentes han conocido Hive.
El onboarding es diferente hoy en día, que en 2017 o en la pandemia de 2020. Esos fueron años donde la gente venía más rápido y se quedaban. Hoy las cosas son más difíciles. Otro punto importante, es que el contenido corto en Hive no tiene mucho éxito. Por más que hay intentos por incluirlo, tenemos a las ballenas que vienen de la antigua cadena y que no votarían contenido de "bajo esfuerzo". Lo que he observado en esta generación, es que el nivel de esfuerzo que toleran, es demasiado bajo al de otras generaciones. Hacer una presentación de 300 palabras, es como subir el Everest para ellos.
Hablamos de la generación Tik Tok, que tiene menos concentración. Además que para ellos, hacer un post es como una tarea aburrida. Todavía no le han dado valor al dinero, viven de sus padres. Hive exige un cambio drástico y rápido de mentalidad y no están preparados para eso. El largo plazo aquí es el rey y aunque muchos de ellos me dicen que prefieren resultados a largo plazo, a la hora de la verdad vemos lo contrario. Pienso que el largo plazo lo interpretan como, cambios lentos que no me saquen de mi comodidad.
Un mito muy difundido también, es el de que son la generación digital y por eso se les hace más fácil. Que como nacieron conectados, saber mejor el manejo de herramientas informáticas. Esto es totalmente falso. Solo lo saben a nivel superficial. Presionar un botón aquí y otro allá en una red social. Cuando indagamos sobre programas, conocen menos que los milenials.
Hive no es superficial. Aquí hay que estudiar, indagar y dedicar tiempo para explorar herramientas nuevas y con otra economía. Hive es profundo y profundo es algo a lo que huyen los adolescentes.
Ya hay muchos estudios sobre esto; también sobre que ahora se envejece más tarde. Podríamos decir que las personas maduran con más edad que en el pasado.

Además de su falta de concentración. Creo que estos rasgos son los que más influyen, para que casi no tengamos personas de esas edades en Hive y que la mayoría pase los 30 años.
