The Ruleset

image.png

  • Rulesets - Stampede, Melee Mayhem & Four's a Crowd
  • Mana Cap - 20
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Mylor Crowling

Image from thread

  • With the ruleset and element pick that I got I knew most of the times my enemies go with a melee based team comp so I had to counter it somehow
  • And as earth element was active I decided to play Mylor Crowling as he is possible the best melee counter and he only costs 3 mana which I had to keep an eye on in this battle
  • So melee counter and low mana cost summoner it was
  • Thorns - Returns 2 physical damage to attacker when hit by a melee attack

1st Position: Halfling Refugee

image.png

  • Halfling Refugee was my main tank for this battle
  • Main reason I like Halfling Refugee here a lot is his high stats for almost free
  • Tho Halfling Refugee has very good stats for only 1 mana he also has a selfharm ability which is always not that good for your team but for this battle it was fine as he was going to die quite quick being in the first position from the start
  • Weary - At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate

2nd Position: Regal Peryton

Image from thread

  • As Melee Mayhem was active I felt like my enemy also might wanna counter my playing melee based comp so I decided to play magic comp instead
  • First one being Regal Peryton as he had really high speed which melee monsters might miss
  • Also he had decent amount of hp making him a decent secondary tank
  • Flying - +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake

3rd Position: Mushroom Seer

Image from thread

  • Mushroom Seer was here to try to counter my enemy playing also a magic based comp
  • Even if my enemy decided not to play magic monsters Mushroom Seer also had quite decent stats for 5 mana
  • Silence - -1 magic power to all enemy units

4th Position: Goblin Psychic

Image from thread

  • And for last but not least was my only healer for this team
  • Goblin Psychic is not only good for healing he is also great because he counters my enemy playing healers with his Affliction
  • And also he has some quite okei stats for 6 mana
  • Tank Heal - Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position
  • Affliction - 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed

Starting board

image.png

  • After seeing the starting board I was quite sure I would lose this battle because even tho I managed to kinda nail my summoner pick my enemy also picked the perfect summoner against my team and not only that he also had much higher level team than I did
  • But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st, 2nd & 3rd Round

image.png

  • After first three rounds the board was still looking quite the same as in the start
  • I had lost my tank in the first round already but my Regal Peryton was much faster than my enemy monster which meant he was dodging a lot of attacks
  • Meanwhile my enemy finally lost his first tank in the 3rd round opening the board just a little
  • Anything could still happen so lets keep watching

4th & 5th Round

image.png

  • Next two rounds were so huge for me as my Regal Peryton managed to dodge so many attacks and the ones he did not dodge got healed back up by my healer real fast
  • Also I managed to take down another enemy monster in these two rounds as I was dealing 3 damage per round and my enemies tank had 6 hp
  • To win this battle my Regal Peryton had to dodge couple more attacks if not my team was going to fall fast
  • Lets hope for the best and keep watching

6th & 7th Round

image.png

  • Next two rounds done and now the battle was decided
  • Even tho I had lost my Regal Peryton in the 7th round my enemies Disintegrator also killed himself to my Thorns
  • Now I just needed to wait for the last rounds and then claim my victory as the only enemy monster that was alive was ranged

8th, 9th & 10th Round

image.png

  • It took me 2 rounds and a single attack to kill my enemies last standing monster as I needed to hit the Affliction first
  • After his Crustacean King had fallen I took the victory
  • Battle Replay Link

Summary

  • This battle was definitely closer than I would have liked but still fun to watch
  • In this battle there was really not a strategy to take away as I mainly won because of my Regal Peryton who managed to dodge so many attacks throughout the battle
