Hello Splinter family! Something I've been missing in Modern battles are the cards from the GLADIATOR collection. After the new Modern took over the scene, this group of cards was somewhat forgotten. Their use and gameplay were restricted to two points: BRAWL, the famous guild war, and, very sporadically, in some battles with the ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED rule? In this second point, there are still the elements available, you can barely use the GLADIATOR cards at your leisure.
As incredible as it may seem, the GLADIATOR edition should be known by all players in the lands of Splinterlands, but in conversations on Discord and some other social networks, I ended up discovering that several people are unaware of these cards and have never used them. There are still those who have some, due to the use of GLINTs and BRAWL, but have never used them. The lack of an archon that allows its use in Modern will end up leaving its existence in oblivion. Not all players are interested in joining a guild. Some even have this desire, but are unable to join.
The whe are cards in the GLADIATOR collection? It is a collection of 32 cards that have one thing in common: the BLOODLUST ability (each time this gladiator defeats an enemy creature, he receives +1 to all his stats), a very powerful ability that makes a big difference in the course of battles. The only way to get these cards is through the GLADIUS CASE, a pack available in the store of guilds that are level 2 or higher. This pack is extraordinary, when you open it, you will have access to 5 cards in different rarity levels: common, rare, epic, legendary or gold foil. It all depends on your luck at the time.
How to buy the GLADIUS CASE? They can be buy using the currency Merits, which is not traded on the market and can be acquired in two ways: through wars between guilds and by buying with Glints.
An important detail: if you are not part of a guild, there is no reason to spend your GLINTs on merits, you need a store to buy them, and this store is within the guild itself.
Have you noticed that there are no GLADIATOR cards for sale on the market? They are cards for the exclusive use of their owners, you cannot trade or delegate them. I do not know if there is any way to use more than one Gladiator card per battle, but they are so powerful that you are only allowed to use one card at a time.
These cards are special, their offensive power stands out from the rest, i believe that the term GLADIATOR is related to the power and voracity. Being able to use a gladiator in your battles is a sign of an advantage.
I don't know if they (the GLADIATOR) will remain without archons for use in the modern format, but it would be interesting to have some archons to enhance their use and promote them to the new players who appear all the time. Gladiators like glory, something that is being forgotten with their absence from the formats. A single battle rule that allows their use is too little for their real potential.
Will we have some archons for gladiators in the next packs? The wish is still in the air... A legendary archon intended for use of the gladiators would be a dream come true for the community. Would it destabilize the format modern? There are many doubts.

Olá, família Splinter! Algo que eu estava sentindo falta nas batalhas do Modern são as cartas da coleção GLADIATOR. Depois que o novo Modern tomou conta do cenário, esse grupo de cartas ficou meio esquecido. Seu uso e jogabilidade ficaram restritos a dois pontos: BRAWL, a famosa guerra de guildas, e, muito esporadicamente, em algumas batalhas com a regra "VOCÊ NÃO ESTÁ ENTRETENIDO?". Neste segundo ponto, ainda existem os elementos disponíveis, você mal consegue usar as cartas de GLADIATOR à vontade.
Por incrível que pareça, a edição GLADIATOR deveria ser conhecida por todos os jogadores das terras de Splinterlands, mas em conversas no Discord e em algumas outras redes sociais, acabei descobrindo que várias pessoas desconhecem essas cartas e nunca as usaram. Ainda há quem tenha algumas, devido ao uso de GLINTs e BRAWL, mas nunca as usou. A falta de um arconte que permita seu uso no Modern acabará deixando sua existência no esquecimento. Nem todos os jogadores têm interesse em entrar para uma guilda. Alguns até têm esse desejo, mas não conseguem.
Onde estão as cartas da coleção GLADIATOR? É uma coleção de 32 cartas que têm uma coisa em comum: a habilidade BLOODLUST (cada vez que este gladiador derrota uma criatura inimiga, ele recebe +1 em todos os seus atributos), uma habilidade muito poderosa que faz uma grande diferença no decorrer das batalhas. A única maneira de obter essas cartas é através da CAIXA GLADIUS, um pacote disponível na loja de guildas de nível 2 ou superior. Este pacote é extraordinário: ao abri-lo, você terá acesso a 5 cartas em diferentes níveis de raridade: comum, rara, épica, lendária ou folha de ouro. Tudo depende da sua sorte no momento.
Como comprar a CAIXA GLADIUS? Elas podem ser compradas usando a moeda Méritos, que não é negociada no mercado e pode ser adquirida de duas maneiras: por meio de guerras entre guildas e comprando com Glints.
Um detalhe importante: se você não faz parte de uma guilda, não há motivo para gastar seus Glints em méritos; você precisa de uma loja para comprá-los, e essa loja fica dentro da própria guilda.
Você notou que não há cartas de GLADIADOR à venda no mercado? Elas são cartas de uso exclusivo de seus donos, não podendo ser trocadas ou delegadas. Não sei se existe alguma maneira de usar mais de uma carta de Gladiador por batalha, mas elas são tão poderosas que você só pode usar uma carta por vez.
Essas cartas são especiais, seu poder ofensivo se destaca das demais; acredito que o termo GLADIADOR esteja relacionado ao poder e à voracidade. Poder usar um gladiador em suas batalhas é sinal de vantagem.
Não sei se eles (os GLADIADORES) ficarão sem arcontes para uso no formato moderno, mas seria interessante ter alguns arcontes para potencializar seu uso e promovê-los aos novos jogadores que aparecem a todo momento. Gladiadores gostam de glória, algo que está sendo esquecido com sua ausência dos formatos. Uma regra de batalha única que permita seu uso é muito pouco para seu real potencial.
Teremos arcontes para gladiadores nos próximos pacotes? O desejo ainda está no ar... Um arconte lendário destinado ao uso dos gladiadores seria um sonho tornado realidade para a comunidade. Desestabilizaria o formato moderno? Há muitas dúvidas.
