For the moment, all the hype within the Splinterlands community was due to Conclave Arcana, the 6th major set that will be released into the game and currently was on it's presale period which comes with exclusive promo cards and titles as well as the opportunity to design the 6 Legendary Archons for the top 6 presale buyers. If you wonder what an "Archon" is, basically it was just a name rebrand for summoners. Speaking of Archons, we also have rare Archons and as of the moment, 5 of them has already been revealed.
And so, for this week's Community Engagement Challenge, I will share with you the currently revealed #conclavearcana Archons and my general thoughts about them.
Conclave Rare Archons
Archons will be the new term that players will be using for the summoners of Conclave Arcana. This rebranding was made to make it clear that we, the players are the Battle Mage Summoners and we are imbuing our selves by manifesting the Archons into the battle. Aside from the rebranding, there were also a few tweaks that was made to make it easier to distinguish between a unit and an Archon. First, Archons has a glowing rune indicator in the base of their card frame. The second feature was the Bloodline Dominion which aside of being a means to distinguish an Archon, it was also a new game mechanic that will be introduced in Conclave Arcana.
In this mechanic, Conclave Arcana Card will have race and bloodlines where each cards belongs to and Archons will have the ability to use any unit that shares their race or bloodline regardless of their element as long as its available in the battle ruleset. At the same time, Archons can give abilities to units that shares their bloodline. Once Conclave Arcana was released all the previous sets will also be tweaked to have their race to make them more synergetic with the new summoners. As of the moment, we have 5 rare Archon card that was revealed. The following were:
