Hail to the Hive!
There’s something. Special about spring. I guess thats why there are so many religious and cultural connotations to it. Nature is awakening and the days are getting longer. The sun is at least attempting to put a shift in and it just has an all round pleasant vibe.
Emerging from the cold and misery of a long winter must also have a lot to do with the special feeling that accompanies the coming of spring also.
And the cruising is… well its just awesome.
Typically I am happy chugging along as long as it’s not raining and as long as it’s not too windy. But when the weather starts to turn. For the better as we come out of winter, cruising along on the canals is just a pure joy.
The canals and rivers just come to life. And i also feel I am reawakening too.
Alot of people make alot of plans as to where they might cruise to in the coming months or may already have done so. Me, well We are just winging it. I do plan to venture down a few arms of the canal we as yet haven’t gone all the way down or haven’t gone all the way down so that we are at least doing something new and not just back tracking over familiar territory.
And at the back of my mind there is our ongoing boat hunt for a bigger vessel to live on.
I have been looking and I just have to remind myself to be patient and for the tie being appreciate what we have already.
And enjoy the spring 😆
