Hello hivers and game lovers,
Welcome to the blog of @southgamer, where I talk about my gaming experience and everything gaming-related. In my last post, I mentioned how my girlfriend sent me off to bed last night so we could wake up early for work today. Well, I guess if I play my card right, I might get away with a fast one. She went over to her parents' place with the plan of staying the weekend, so that means she won't be back until Monday or Sunday evening.
I guess it is going to be a late-night gaming session when the boss lady isn't around. Funny enough, she called me to tell me to go to bed early, because I have work tomorrow. Ideally, I said I will. Well, as it turns out, I will be going to bed early after all, because the way I am being wiped by online gamers in Bloodhunt is quite alarming.
Tonight, I decided to play the solo mission in Bloodhunt since I completed the tutorial in flying colours, but little did I know, there was something else installed for me. The solo mission is a game that had 40 players or 42, I'm not quite sure of the number anymore. But I know it was not more than 45 players playing all at once.
For starters, you get to meet a strange man at the temple place or so, where you will be asked if you accept the mission, then you move over to the battlefield. When placed on the battlefield, which serves as the playing ground as well, everyone is scattered into different locations, and then the map becomes useful in tailoring where you should go for the battle. All you have to do is follow the red mark on the map, and it leads you to where other players are, as they are following the map as well.
With this in mind, I felt it was going to be an easy peasy, since I aced the tutorials effortlessly. Oh my oh my, online gamers came for me with heavy machines. All I can remember is how I was receiving bullets from different angles without even knowing. My character kept getting hit one after the other. With so many straight bullets, and that was not all. They ambushed me in two.
Okay, I told myself that was the first time I wasn't prepared, so next time I will approach the ambush with a combat and tactical mindset. The tactical plan going in for the second round was to use buildings as a shield while I aimed carefully at my target from a distance. It was working all fine until, from nowhere, another player came from my back and unloaded me with some heavy shots. I tried to run into hiding, but it was difficult. Running meant I had to come out of my hiding spot, and that would put me in the crossfire of another player. Right there was the end of my character's demise, placing in the 33rd position out of 40 or 42 players.
Frankly speaking, Bloodhunt is a new challenge unlocked for me. I think consistent play and a new working tactic should give me a better chance next time. For now, I will go to bed with the defeat. I live to fight another day.
See you in the next game.
