Food is one of the favorite thing that I would like to explore and I know that there were many kinds of food that I didn't try not around the world but in the hometown where I work.
There are many kinds of foods in the hometown where I work that I didn't try yet because it's either I'm too busy with other stuffs or I didn't know it yet but if I have more time and I think it's delicious, I won't hesitate to buy the food even if it's a street food.
Anyway, last Saturday, me and my co-worker had to eat lunch outside and it's not the usual thing that we ate outside during lunch but this time we ate together outside and not the usual food store that we ate because it's closed during Saturdas.
After we ate lunch with my co-worker we drove to the company because we only have an hour of break for lunch but during our travel to go to our company, we saw a food store that was selling on the street and the food store was not the usual food store that we usually saw from the hometown.
I told my co-worker that we would like to order or to try their food and to know on what are they selling since it's our first time together that we saw that street food which was selling beside the busy streets.
So, we decided to park beside this street food and asks the street food on what were they selling. They said they were selling "Puto Bumbong" and I was amazed by the food itself because that will be my first time eating and buying this kind of food.
I asked on what were the ingredients for this "Puto Bumbong" that they made and they said that it is a yam mixed with sticky rice and then there's desiccated coconut on the outside for better in taste.
I asked the price and they said that five pieces for only 100 pesos (which is almost 2 USD) for five pieces of this. We ordered one set for 5 pieces for a hundred because we want to try this food and we were curious on the taste of this stuff.
We were waiting for the "Puto Bumbong" to be hot because they said that it's better that this food that they were selling is hot than a cold one and we waited for a couple of minutes for this "Puto Bumbong" will be hot and while we were waiting, we asks some stuffs related to the food that were selling because we were curious to know about this food and how they made this special delicacy food.
I think this was one of the special delicacy in one of the place here in the Philippines but I don't know which place was that be and they are now available almost all around our country.
After they heat the Puto Bumbong, they put it in the Styrofoam to put some other stuffs like condensed milk and then lots of cheese on top of it, well seeing on the ingredients that they put makes me want to eat on the spot because of the cheese that I loved eating.
We shared this Puto Bumbong with our colleagues, too, and they were happy that they've tasted this food which they like eating and mostly, they said that it was good and delicious.
